Stand up

So I recently read an interesting post on Facebook from a family member who will remain unnamed throughout this. The post goes as follows;

I have been wondering about why whites are racists, and no other race is? 

There are British Africans, British Chinese, British Asian, British Turks, etc, etc, etc. 

And then there are just British. You know what I mean, plain ole English people that were born here. You can include the Welsh, the Scottish and the people who live off our shores of Great Britain.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you. So why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live? 

You have Muslim only areas.

You have the Muslim Council of Great Britain. 

You have Black History Month. 

You have swimming pools for Asian women. 

You have Islamic banks for Muslims only. 

You have year of the dragon day for Chinese people. 

If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists. 

If we had White History Month, we'd be racists. 

If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR lives, we'd be racists. 

A white woman could not be in the Miss Black Britain or Miss Asia, but any colour can be in the Miss UK. 

If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships, you know we'd be racists.

There are over 200 openly proclaimed Muslim only schools in England. Yet if there were 'White schools only', that would be racist!

In the Bradford riots and Toxteth riots, you believed that you were standing-up for your race and rights. If we stood-up for our race and rights, you would call us racists. 

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it and that?s fine. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists. 

We fly our flag, we are racists. If we celebrate St George's day we are racists. 

You can fly your flag and it?s called diversity. You celebrate your cultures and it?s called multiculturalism. 

You rob us, carjack us, and rape our daughters. But, when a white police officer arrests a black gang member or beats up an Asian drug dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist for doing his job.

I am proud.... but you?d call me a racist. 

Why is it that only whites can be racists?? 

Oh and now COVID is racist ????

There is nothing improper about this and I?m not declaring any hatred for any race, I?m just annoyed by the lack of equal representation and selected media coverage. 

Let?s see which of you are proud enough to agree.

I sadly don't think many will. That's why we have LOST most of OUR RIGHTS in this country. We won't stand up for ourselves! 

BEING PROUD TO BE WHITE! It's not a crime, YET... but its getting very close.

Oh and ALL lives matter...??. ??????????????

A few points here i think are worth diving into.

Firstly, this post has been shared and 'copy & pasted' thousands of times. And it shows how quickly false information can spread through the uneducated.

So lets get dissecting this. White people have been defended in court and multiple situations in which the colour of their skin was a factor. Pretending white people are racist and no other race is, is preposterous. Have we forgotten about the many white farmers and land owners attacked and killed in South Africa by order of the government? Nobody from a position of power has ever said that whites are killing blacks. Simple. this is misinformation spreading through social media and quotes in the daily mail from people who have no clue. Fact, 'some' white people have killed 'some' black people. The black community is no way implying they fear a white person will kill them. But we've seen many race crimes and have got to accept that even shouting monkey chants at a footballer is beyond stupidity!

I do believe by 'Ghetto' she refers to council estates and prominently black neighborhoods. This one is easy to explain. Black people have less chance of climbing the social ladder as the rest of us white folk. Stereotyping, Automatically stopped and searched, job applications denied. these are the first 3 things that come to mind that would make anyone negative to the world they live in. Followed by testosterone and acting out. Crimes will be committed by anyone of any colour in stressful environments this is no different. I'm not the first to accept that we are white privileged! This isn't some media storm brewing up to distract us from Brexit! I could grow up on the same estate and same financial status as my black next door neighbor, and I have a 65% chance of becoming more successful!

Why do we need a white pride day? we have history lessons that teach us how 'great' we are, turning a blind eye to the bad things we've done. Gay pride exists because being gay was something people hid, were ashamed of. Black history month exists because nowhere in the UK is it even considered in history lessons. Black people have been neglected and ignored, Taught our history in school. Black history month his a month for all colours to educate themselves on black history. Expand your minds a little further than our island.

My favorite debate on this. 96% of educational finances are distributed to 'all' yet 75% of those funds help white people into college, university etc. having just 4% of the market, why on earth would you fault them for helping black people? Once again i find myself repeating, you support the minority before you support the majority. you've got 2 kids. child 1 needs new shoes, child 2 is fine. you don't by child 2 spare shoes in case they get ruined. you fix the problem that already exists first.

This ones amusing, and proof of the uneducated again. over 200 schools in England are Muslim only... so? over 500 are christian only. Bypassing this information makes this statistic look offensive. If i converted to Muslim, I'd be accepted into a Muslim school, if i wasn't 31...

If you were Muslim, or any other race and converted to Christianity, you'd be accepted into these schools. Its not racist. You wouldn't put your English daughter in a French school... well I would, but that's cause it'd be funny!

We have protests all the time protecting our rights. these aren't important to white people. they are important to all races. notice how blacks, whites, and everything in between stand side by side at gay pride? This is how injustice is supposed to be defended.

This one actually angered me. 'You rob us, carjack us, and rape our daughters'

THIS IS RACIST. Someone who objects racism has openly p*ssed me off here. Statistically more than 70% of all crimes are committed by white people, born and bred British white folk. You are ridiculously more likely to be raped by your own family member than you are a black man, so take the time to read before you make crazy accusations like that...

Yes, people have been rioting, Yes people have been smashing shop windows, And yes, these people are costing the country millions of pounds everytime they have a riot.... And thats just the EDL protests... see what I did there?

The black people you see smashing the Prada windows, their idiots, but theyre not alone, ive seen white people do the same in Leicester when the EDL protest was ongoing. I even found myself man handling my brother who wanted to go and join. He wanted to stop foreigners entering the country and felt the best way to express this was to put a mask on and smash some bus stops. Imagine his disappointment when I told him my fiance was Hungarian!

Lets agree to disagree on some of your points. Facts speak far greater than anything I can say. read a book, follow the facts. Don't make judgement's over something you've read on Facebook. The world is going to sh*t, massive numbers dying from viruses, plagues wiping out villages in countries you couldn't even pronounce.

Yes I'm white, and yes I'm proud to be British. No-one would or has ever called me racist. But lets be clear what I'm proud of.

I'm proud to be in a country where you can get a boob job paid for by the tax payer to build your self esteem and help you win that mental battle you've been having since your ex called you flat chested. I'm proud to have a free education system that exceeds many other countries. I'm proud to have a job market that exists for so many unqualified people. I'm proud of the many many charities that literally exist for people in countries so poor they dont even have water! Im proud of the British people for abolishing the slave trade, not only in the UK but spending MILLIONS tracking the globe and forcing other countries to follow suit! I'm proud of the hundreds of thousands of white people that have stood side by side in the black lives matter protests, when so many of us have been sat at home watching the news. Bloody hell people, we live in a country where my brother has never held a job or a woman and he gets money every month cause hes 'job searching' why? Cause even he needs to pay for his food and bills. we're a nation that look after EVERYONE

Human rights were created because someone stood up, Poverty was reduced because someone stood up, Slavery was abolished because someone stood up.... So stand up
